Zzzzzzzzz...

...is what I need.

It's arduous driving for 6 hours after a day at work, trying to sell work at the Con for 15 hours, driving the 6 (or more?) hours back, getting in at 2AM and then going to work the next day.

But it was such a fun trip!!! Although the time we got to spend actually roaming the city was very brief, I really loved what I saw of Baltimore - there was something so lovely and old and charming about it, and we felt welcomed.

Absolutely loved the basement of the Brewer's Art on N. Charles - really wish Cleveland had something similar. Good company with a fantastic atmosphere, delicious beer and unbelievable fries (although it did seem like every song played was from Guitar Hero). We stayed and the weird, spooky, quirky Mount Vernon Hotel. With all the old paintings, marble faces and taxidermied animals, it felt like with just a few cobwebs, it could be so easily turned into a haunted hotel. Although our room key repeatedly stopped working, the elevator broke and the basement parking garage gave us the super creep-out, I enjoyed the place and would venture to stay again. More endearing than your average chain motel, that's for sure.
By the way, thanks to folks on the internet for these particular photos - ours are still sleeping in the camera. Pics of new art that sold (and didn't sell) will be up soon!

Thanks to everyone who stopped by our table!

I used to live in DC and visited Baltimore every chance I could get. It is a wonderfully quirky town. Next time you are there be sure to check out the Visionary Art Museum.

I was lucky enough to purchase your lady with knives drawing yesterday. I wish I had a chance to chat but I was stuck behind my table most of the weekend. I walked by your table so many times and I was very drawn to the work of you and (what looked like)your friends! Thanks!

Melanie - thanks! Yeah, I wish we'd been able to spend more time there. I'm planning on going back sometime to wander and visit the museums and aquarium and everything.

Rico - hooray! The knife thrower was one of my favorites - I'm glad you adopted her! I was also stuck at my table the whole time, so I didn't get to see much of what was around me. But I'm happy that you were able to stop by! Emily and John and I are hoping to do more Cons soon. This was my first try!
