Annyong!

To celebrate the exciting return of Arrested Development, a few of us greeting card artists put our heads (and pencils) together and whipped up a (fake) mini-line of greeting cards for this contest that anyone can download and print out for free!

It’s super easy! Download the high-res files here. They even come with a dotted line for the fold and should print easily to your basic home printer.

And if you like them, please share them to your heart’s content!

You Never Forget How to Ride a Bike...

I've been like a little painting machine, recently! I just finished a bunch of pieces for a show, and while I'm really happy with what I accomplished, getting back into painting with brushes on paper was a bit scary. I'm so used to working digitally these days that the challenge of using traditional media was intimidating. But once I got back into the groove, I rediscovered how much I love it.

Here are some sneak peeks of what I've been working on over the last few weeks.

It's unfortunate that these are all so pink and flowery. It's not my cup of tea, but I guess that's what happens when you have to appeal to the masses...
Here are some more Mother's Day cards I worked on for American Greetings.

Aqua Vitae

A dear family friend of mine has a Kickstarter for a trip to the Pacific Northwest to study and paint natural water settings: Pacific Ocean, Coastal Tidal Pools, The Hoh Rainforest, Lowland Savannah and Forest Streams, Lower Montane Forest streams, Subalpine Forests and Streams, and Alpine areas. Kathleen was once a biologist, but is now a very talented artist (see one of her paintings below) who is hoping her work will inspire care and protection of these beautiful and delicate water systems.

Depending on your donation, Kathleen will send you a postcard, a giclee print, or even an original painting to express her gratitude.

Her deadline is fast approaching!

Can you help her out?
