Calling All Cleveland Artists!

The Issue 5 campaign is having an art contest featuring the “Yes on 5!  No on 6! / Real Reform Done Right” slogan.

Here’s the idea:
You create something — anything — using the Issue 5 campaign slogan and post it on your website or Facebook page with a link to our website:
www.yes5no6.com.

We’ll give you a shout out on our Facebook page.

Monday, November 2, our steering committee will vote on their favorite piece and notify the winner.

There is no limit to your creativity.  Draw, paint, stitch, photograph, glue or do whatever kind of art you like as long as it uses the campaign slogan. We want to see what you create! This has a very quick turn-around, so please get started right away, if you're interested in participating!  And please forward this info to any other artists you know who may be interested.

All pieces must be submitted and posted online with the link to www.yes5no6.com by Tuesday, October 27 no later than 8 p.m. There will be three winners chosen with a variety of prizes to be announced.

If you have questions about Issue 5, the contest or anything else, please contact Zelda MacGregor by phone at 216.466.4158 or email zelda@save-the-day.net.

Mintastic

Thanks to my dear friend Claire Teschel for sending me this link to Mint (which is a fabulous little blog). Claire submitted some photos that she took during our wedding and Ellie at Mint wrote up a cute little post about our knot-tying adventures. Claire's photos are fantastic, by the way.

Thanks to both!

Mrs.

Greetings from the land of the legally wed!

Johnny D and I returned late Wednesday night from our Haunted Honeymoon (The Marshall House in Savannah, The Provencial in New Orleans, and The Myrtle's Plantation in St. Francisville) exhausted from travel, filled to the gills with delicious food and happy as clams.

As for the wedding day itself, there's not a thing I would change about the day! It was wonderfully fun and we had a blast seeing friends from long ago, enjoying some of the best carrot cake I've ever tasted, and dancing the night away. Nothing like shimmying in a full skirt to keep away the chill of an October night in the mountains!

I'll share more photos, soon ;)
