Christmas Spirit
Loving the little twinkling lights all over town, the wreaths on the doors, the candles in the windows...
All we need are some snowflakes to add a little sparkle!
Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow

Springtime Neighborwood
Hey, all you Asheville friends!
I'll have a cute little piece in the Natural Resources Show in Satellite Gallery on Broadway Street! The opening reception will be Friday, December 18th from 7 pm - 11 pm. Alas, I won't be there, but there will definitely be some awesome work to check out if you're in the area.
Here's the scoop:
Natural Resources 2 is the second installment in the Natural Resources traveling art show, featuring customized "Neighborwood" and "Average Joe Schmoe" wooden figures designed by Cleveland artist, Mike Burnett.
Artists include Travis Lampe, Stenvik Mostrom, Claire Mojher, John DeLucca, Monstrehero, Lola, Chris Ryniak, Amanda Spayd, Johnny Yanok, Joel Nakamura, and many more!
Hosted by The Satellite Gallery in Asheville, North Carolina, the exhibit will run from December 18th, 2009, until January 24th, 2010.
And yes, this little guy has two friendly foxes on his backside :)

Full of Thanks
And soon to be full of stuffing and pumpkin pie and turkey and cornbread and green beans and sweet potato and delicious garlic mashed potatoes.
Glad to have my family staying with us for the holiday. We'll be in for an extra-cozy day of cooking.
Happy Thanksgiving, my friends!

Stones, Vines and Stars
Sorry for the sparse posts...
Happily my family is coming for a Thanksgiving visit, but between getting the new house to a livable state and my very busy day job, it's been difficult to find the time to give my blog the attention it deserves.
Thanks for your patience! Hope everyone is keeping warm and cozy - it has been quite chilly up here by the big lake.

Calling All Cleveland Artists!
The Issue 5 campaign is having an art contest featuring the “Yes on 5! No on 6! / Real Reform Done Right” slogan.
Here’s the idea:
You create something — anything — using the Issue 5 campaign slogan and post it on your website or Facebook page with a link to our website:
www.yes5no6.com.
We’ll give you a shout out on our Facebook page.
Monday, November 2, our steering committee will vote on their favorite piece and notify the winner.
There is no limit to your creativity. Draw, paint, stitch, photograph, glue or do whatever kind of art you like as long as it uses the campaign slogan. We want to see what you create! This has a very quick turn-around, so please get started right away, if you're interested in participating! And please forward this info to any other artists you know who may be interested.
All pieces must be submitted and posted online with the link to www.yes5no6.com by Tuesday, October 27 no later than 8 p.m. There will be three winners chosen with a variety of prizes to be announced.
If you have questions about Issue 5, the contest or anything else, please contact Zelda MacGregor by phone at 216.466.4158 or email zelda@save-the-day.net.

Mintastic
Thanks to my dear friend Claire Teschel for sending me this link to Mint (which is a fabulous little blog). Claire submitted some photos that she took during our wedding and Ellie at Mint wrote up a cute little post about our knot-tying adventures. Claire's photos are fantastic, by the way.
Thanks to both!
