The annual Spring Fine Art & Design Show opens this Friday at the Spaces gallery! Live music, hors d'oeuvres, yummy beverages and some fantastic work by a whole bunch of American Greetings artists and writers, including me! I have 3 cut-paper birds and a literary piece in the show. Come out and join the fun!

Paper Wings

Three pieces of mine in the "Greetings from Brooklyn" show in the Pennello Gallery.

They're about 5" x 7" and made from cut and layered paper mounted on tiny wooden blocks and foam sponges. These are my first attempt at semi-detailed cut paper work, and I'm pretty thrilled with how they turned out.
The exhibition runs through April 30th!

Howdy, Springtime!

As much as I really do love Winter with all its snowy softness and cozy closeness, after a while I long to throw off my many scarves and let my toes run free from their boots.

Happily, yesterday was the first day of Spring! And not a moment too soon. Hooray for little green sprouts nosing their way up to peek at the sunshine, and a cheerful how-do-you-do to birdsong and mild lake breezes.

Radio Silence
