Happy Little Clouds
Some very dear folks I know just opened their brand new shop The Nimbus Factory, just in time for Winter shopping. It's definitely worth a look!

Filled with Cheerful Graditude
Johnny D and I are driving over the river the through the woods tonight to his parents' house in Virginia! Although I'll miss being with my own family, I'm really looking forward to spending Thanksgiving with my in-laws and creating some new holiday traditions.
Happy Thanksgiving!

Art for a Great Cause
I feel honored to have been asked to donate some artwork to the Kyrie Foundation's 2010 Art & Gift Benefit!
This Friday, November 12th at 6 PM, my work will be mingling with pieces donated by super talented folks like Shepherd Fairey, Nate Williams, Lab Partners and many, many others! This benefit will help raise funds for research to fight pediatric brain cancer.
If you're in the Kansas City area, you may purchase tickets here. If you're unable to attend, but would still like to make a donation, you can do that as well.

Farewell, October!
And what an eventful October it was (some good, some bad). In fact, I've been so preoccupied with said events that I haven't had time for any new artworkies.
Instead, please enjoy a shot of my Halloween costume:

Lifetime Achievement
Today is my birthday! I am happily 28 years old.
Here I am with a petrified tree - a giant white oak that sprouted, grew, fell and turned to stone over 3 Million years ago. Puts it all into perspective, eh?

Whoosh!
I don't know how Friday got here so fast. This week was a whirlwind of brainstorms and meetings and Halloween costume idea debates and unreasonable amounts of laundry and pretty orange Fall leaves. I wanted to share some photos from our recent vacation, but I keep falling asleep before I get a chance to organize and label them in a humorous manner. Maybe I'll get to it this weekend!
Until then, here's a pretty picture of a lady in the traditional dress of my Slovak ancestors. Happy Friday!

Anniversary Amusement
This is the sappy anniversary card I made for Johnny D.
We're back from out jaunt to San Francisco and boy did we have fun! What a singular, fun, lovely place! I'd fly there again in a heartbeat.
...Although, I must say, the flights themselves were pretty dreadful. Talk about paying an arm and a leg for a service and then being sorely disappointed in delivery. Not a single one of our planes was on time (we're talking about the loss of not only 2 hours but an actual day due to airline malarkey).
But enough complaining! We truly had a blast!
