Fabulous July Fourth!

Armed with snazzy new shades, a lovely sun umbrella and high spirits, I'm scampering off to the Beach! I'll be happily out of touch for a week, soaking in the sun and delighting in the feeling of sand between my toes. Farewell, for now!

Fantastic Mr. Dad

A snapshot from more than 20 years ago - my dad and I at the beach (The casts on both of his legs were the result of an unfortunate rooftop misadventure that left both of his heels shattered. I remember the wrapping of plastic garbage bags around his legs so that he could wade through the water).

You can see where I get my curly hair :)
