Inspired by Perfume

This is a fun piece I did for Helene Rossi of Inspire! - a French design blog. She sent me a fragrance sample (Chembur - Byredo Parfums) from Paris, and I created an image influenced by my impressions of the perfume. I was inspired by the warm, dry scent of the fragrance. It reminded me of paper and leaves and spiced, Autumn air.

Guess Who's Coming to Dinner

There is a dog

He'll come to stay

For more than just a couple days

His fur is white

His spots are brown

He knows to Sit and Shake and Down

His eyes are blue

Or maybe green

It's hard to tell just from the screen

Tonight we meet

And this I know

I cannot wait to say Hello!

Hiding

Looking forward to all the leaves and stems and curls and blossoms that will peek and spring and open and turn and become so lush and shady that I can hide among the fronds and whorls in the warm honey afternoons of Springtime.

John and I have been featured in Cleveland's Plain Dealer newspaper! We were interviewed about our wedding ring-making experience at TAP Studios for the Style section of the paper. We thought we might be mentioned in the article along with several other couples, but we were tickled to see that we had the whole feature to ourselves, along with a not-small color photo!

It sure feels funny to be quoted in print.
